Dancing Fools

Bo and Ellie got a big dose of family over the weekend and they loved every minute of it.

The KidsFirst Foundation held its Boonestock Music Festival fundraiser on Saturday in Zionsville. Great Grandpa came over with the Thorntown Kiwanis to sell elephant ears. Grandma and Grandpa Marker came down from Ft. Wayne. And Baba and Papaw Wilson came over from Anderson. The kids got to hang out with lots of other little people too.

It was a kids paradise. The festival featured lots of good music, a big field to run around in, elephant ears to eat, various kids games and an endless opportunity for Bo and Ellie to dance. I only wish we could post video to this blog site so you could see the dancing. The kids love to get their groove on and it's great fun to watch.

Holiday Weekend = Delayed Posting

Between the long holiday weekend and an obsession with watching the U.S. Open tennis tournament, it's been awhile since we've posted an update on the kids. And a lot has happened since we last checked in.

Two weeks ago the kids were baptized at St. Luke's United Methodist by Rev. Kent Millard. Ellie was into it, but Bo got a little nervous when the pastor went to hold him. So, he stayed in Dad's arms while the water went on his little head. It was a nice ceremony and it was made even more special since Rev. Millard has a grandson that was recently adopted from Russia.

Last weekend the kids hit the Windy City with us to visit with Joe and Mary Beth Burke and their kids. We toured around Navy Pier, bumped into our friend Kathy McKay and spent time with Mary Beth's family. The Burkes were in town from Rochester, NY for a wedding. So, when they hit the wedding, Bo and Ellie were off to visit the Lincoln Park Zoo before heading back to Indy on Sunday.

Recent days have been filled with trips to the playground at Broad Ripple Park, long walks with Mom and the kids' latest interest...the computer. They just love seeing their pictures on the screen. Some of their favorite snapshots follow.
