Happy Halloween

The kids have been having a ball the last few weeks. Between picking apples, going on hayrides, learning to drive and going out trick or treating, Bo and Ellie have had lots of fun. Mom and Dad have been enjoying themselves too.

Bo fancies himself a professional race car driver these days. Sometimes he gets behind the wheel of Dad's car. Other times he's found handling the controls of Baba's Saturn. It doesn't seem to matter that the cars sit idle in the driveway. He just loves moving the steering wheel around and playing pretend. Good thing too with gas prices being what they are.

Ellie enjoys driving too, but her real passion these days is doing animal impersonations. She does a nice elephant and she also has sounds down for dolphins, dogs, horses, monkeys and alligators. Some days it seems like a virtual petting zoo around here. And Linus the Cat really is confused. Good thing we have a zoo membership.

Here are some recent pictures of our little ones. Happy Halloween.

Fall Fun

Bo and Ellie have been enjoying lots of quality time with their grandparents in October. Last weekend, we went up to South Haven, Michigan for a weekend with friends. The kids stayed home with Baba and Papaw Wilson. We all had a good time, but we sure missed each other too.

Over this weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Marker were in town. They stayed with the kids on Saturday night and went to church with us on Sunday. The kids sure are lucky to have such great grandparents all the way around.

The highlight of the past several days was a trip to a farm/pumpkin patch. The kids got to feed the goats, pet some pigs, pick their own little pumpkins and enjoy some great apple cider. We had so much fun that no one wanted to take their afternoon nap.

Pictures follow. Hope everyone is doing well.

A September to Remember

Wow...time flies when you're having fun. September sure was a whirlwind for Bo and Ellie. Between the playgroup at the park, cheering the Colts to victory, hanging out with family, mowing the yard, talking on the phone and watching videos of themselves, the kids didn't lack for excitement.

We even reached another milestone late last week when the kids received their social security cards. They didn't seem too impressed, but who would be when you know it's just the precursor to having taxes taken out of your paycheck.

We can't wait to find out what October will bring. In the meantime, here are some recent pictures of our favorite little people.

Be well.
