Looking Back

It was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving of 2004 when we first met Sergei and Inna. They now go by Bohdan Sergei and Eliana Inna, and they are every bit the same sweet little ones we met in Russia. Take a look at the pictures that follow to see just how much they've grown.

We went out to dinner tonight as a family to celebrate the gift we've all been given. We've always been fortunate with lots of things to be thankful for, but this Thanksgiving really takes the cake. There is no doubt that we have all been richly blessed to have found each other in this world.

Although waking up in Moscow and touring Red Square was an interesting way to spend our Thanksgiving of 2004, we'll be glad to wake up in Ft. Wayne and end our day in Anderson this year. Our kids will likely spend their day being spoiled by great grandpa, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. You'd think Mom and Dad might steal a quick nap, but we'll likely be soaking it all in and celebrating taking the road less traveled. It really has made all the difference.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Good Times

Now that Bo has recovered nicely from his minor surgery, life is back to normal at the Marker house. The kids are into everything and they seem to have grown up a lot over the last several days. Last night we moved them into their own rooms. Ellie did okay, but Bo needed a little reassuring since he was the one that had to get used to new accomodations.

Last weekend we went down to Brown County to play in the leaves and shop a bit. The kids had a blast swinging and dining on fried chicken, biscuits and apple butter from the Nashville House. This weekend we went out to eat at our favorite Greek restaurant and then went for a carriage ride around downtown Indianapolis. We thought the horses would be the hit of the evening, but it's hard to beat flaming cheese and a bunch of strangers shouting Oppa!

Between our little excursions and some exciting visits from grandparents and friends, Bo and Ellie have had lots of reasons to smile. Hard to believe the holidays are right around the corner. See you soon.

Bo Goes To See The Doctor

After taking in his first night of trick or treating, Bo checked into Riley Children's Hospital early Tuesday morning for a minor procedure most little boys have done when they're born. Fortunately, Bo had no idea what he was in for, so he got along just fine. The doctors were great and Bo was a real trooper. We go back to see the Doctor next Tuesday. Until then, Bo has his Tylenol with codeine just in case he experiences any pain. He seem to be doing fine.

Following are some pictures of Bo's visit to the hospital. We've also included some pictures of Ellie clowning around and a few more Halloween pictures from when the kids went trick or treating with their neighbor, Alex.
