Since the kids got dressed up today, it was time to break out the camera. Bo and Ellie thought they were too cool for school in their new Easter duds. And, coming home from church to baskets full of candy and toys didn't hurt either. The only bummer was trying to manage a nap after ingesting enough sugar to stay up all night. It's hard to believe that this is our second time around for Easter as a family. Time flies when you're having fun.

Neighborhood Fun
Since we are moving a few miles north in early May, it was good to have some of our neighbors over for a cookout tonight. We sure will miss everyone. We've been very lucky to have a great bunch of families living nearby. And the kids all get along great. You can tell by the pictures that follow. Bo thinks he's the stuff driving around in his big, black truck. But, just wait until Ellie gets to wear her bonnet for Easter. She tried it on as part of a test run this morning and you'd think she was crowned queen.

Ellie's Birthday
Talk about cool birthdays. Ellie's day is easy to remember since she was born on 04-04-04. It has a nice ring to it and when she's old enough to go to Las Vegas she'll know what numbers to put her chips on at the roulette table. These things could come in handy, especially if Mom and Dad don't start putting a little more money in the college fund.
Anyway, we celebrated Ellie's second birthday yesterday with family and a sheet cake as big as the table. The kids did their best to knock out the sweets including having a second round of dessert. The sugar buzz came in handy when we all made our way to the basement late last night as tornado warnings rang out across Indy. Fortunately, we missed the worst part of the storm and the kids just thought it was a big adventure. So did Linus the Cat.
Ellie had great fun on her birthday and is now proudly telling everyone who asks that she's two. Wow, how time flies. Enjoy the latest pictures.
