Summer Close-Out Specials

We are just wrapping up a great end of Summer vacation and the kids had a blast. The week started with a flight to Kansas to visit the Alderdices. One highlight of the trip (beside seeing Patrick and Jen, of course) was taking in a KU football game. You'll see from the pictures that the kids had some great gameday apparel on compliments of the Alderdices. Mama Ruth and Dirty Bob let us use their tickets and we even got to tailgate with the Simons and a few other friends.

After a few days in Kansas, we drove to Oklahoma City to reconnect with the Robinsons. We met them (Chris and Ginny) when we traveled to Russia to bring Bo and Ellie home. They live in Texas and they adopted their little boy (Wyler) and girl (Shilo) at the same time we did. In fact, Bo and Wyler lived in the same orphanage. We had a great time catching up and the kids had lots of fun swimming and carrying on.

After a brief stop back home in Indy, we loaded up the car for a trip to Brown County with Grandma and Grandpa Marker (or as Ellie says...Grammy and PaPa). We all had a great time hiking in the park, swimming, playing cards and going out to eat. And, the kids really enjoyed the new picture books Grammy and PaPa gave them. We had perfect weather and the kids thought it was pretty cool to have adjoining hotel rooms.

Thanks for the memories everyone.
