May Firsts
Ellie is into storytelling right now, so we'll let her tell this one.
Life is full of new adventures when you're three. Earlier this month, Bo Bo and I spent the week with our Great PaPa Routh. He lives on a farm about 45 minutes from our house. We had lots of fun on the farm. We ate ice cream, played in a yard that's as big as my whole neighborhood and we even met some new friends from Russia who were visiting my great aunt and uncle. Our new friends brought us toys and books and even sang Russian songs to us. That was really, really awesome.
After all that, I had to get ready for my ballet recital. My teacher is Miss Johanna. We had rehearsal on Friday night where I got to dance on stage for the first time. I liked it a lot and thought it was neat when everyone clapped for us. We had our recital on Saturday and a lot of my family came to see me. We did our routine and then I got flowers and had cookies and juice with my friends. I really like my ballet class.
This weekend, Mommy and Daddy said the weather was just right for our first camping trip. So, we went out to Mounds State Park. I got to sleep in a tent and sit around a big campfire. My Baba and Papi came out for awhile too since the park is close to their house. I liked the s'mores, but those marshmallows sure get sticky. I think I liked the chocolate milk and donuts the best. We had those for breakfast.
It sure has been a fun month of May so far. Later this week, Uncle Bill and Brick will be in from Seattle. I always have fun when they're in town. See you later.
