Summer Fades Away

With the temp dropping into the 40s, it's starting to feel like Fall. So, the time was right earlier this week for the kids to start back to school. Ellie is in Mrs. Lawson's class again this year. But, brother Bo has taken up new digs in Mrs. Conneally's room. Ellie didn't mind being separated. But, this new set up didn't sit well with Bo on day one. Fortunately, he turned the corner on day two. We'll see what next week holds.

Aside from school, we've been on lots of big adventures. Today, the kids hung out with Dad at work for a few hours. They enjoyed seeing Indy's version of skycrapers and sneaking M&Ms from the office of one of Daddy's co-workers (sorry Duane).

Yesterday, the kids joined Mom and some friends for a day at the zoo. Earlier this month, we set up our new tent and went camping in the backyard. Boy...those s'mores sure were good. And a few weeks back, we had a great time at the Boone County Fair. We also drove to Fort Wayne to see Grandma Marker after she had foot surgery. The kids enjoyed baking "get well" cookies.

Ellie is enjoying ballet class and she also had a lot of fun at a "princess party" held recently in Broad Ripple Park. Bo has taken up running with Dad and he spends lots of time messengering biscuits over to our neighbor dog, Walker.

Life is good.
