Mother's Day 2005

You ever have one of those days that just felt right from sun up to sun down? Yesterday was that kind of time for us. Yet, come to think of it, we've had a pretty good run on those kind of days lately.

The weather was great. The kids were happy. We visited family in Ft. Wayne. Mom got to open presents. The kids got to spend time with their grandparents, great grandpa, uncle and aunt. Did I mention that Michelle got to open presents? She did, and we made sure of that, because as the saying goes, "ain't nobody happy if Mamas not happy."

It was good to slow down a little and celebrate everything that's right in the world. And, like a cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae, the Cubs even managed to end a seven game losing streak. Makes me wonder why I didn't buy a lottery ticket yesterday.

Anyway, aside from a few runny noses here and there, Bohdan and Eliana have been getting along really well. Ellie has been growing like a weed. She is walking all over the place and talking a lot too. Bo dances so much that he can't seem to gain much weight. Seriously, whenever there is music playing, Bo bops around like there's no tomorrow. They are getting along well and Bo even is giving Ellie kisses good night. It's really sweet to watch, except when Ellie decides she'd rather not have a kiss and decides to give Bo a hand rake across the eyes. Sometimes Mom and Dad get the hand rake too.

Thanks for checking in. Here are some recent pictures of the kids being kids.
