Wild Times

The last month has been one adventure after another at our place. The highlights for Bo and Ellie included two long weekends with their grandparents while Mom and Dad traveled to NYC and Chicago with family and friends. Being with their grandparents meant lots of fun including trips to the Indiana State Fair and dinners at their favorite "peanut place" restaurant.

The kids have also been able to spend lots of time in the swimming pool this summer as Mom trained for her first triathlon. They even got to practice their counting skills as Mom swam back and forth doing laps. And they really enjoyed going swimming in the new in-ground pool at the Chastain's house.

Another recent highlight was the trip the Art and Carol Johnson's farm in Noblesville. The Johnson's adopted a little girl from Russia a few years back and we've gotten to know them through the KidsFirst Foundation. Earlier this month, we joined several families for a cookout and a tour of their animal that includes: buffalo, highlanders, indu, watusi, angus, camels, z-donkeys, yaks and more. It was quite an experience. Several pictures follow.

Preschool starts again this week. By the way, Mom completed her first triathlon last weekend and she received a hero's welcome from the kids when she got home.
