Let The Good Times Roll

We've always been fond of November and December, but the last two months of the year were especially fun this time around. Initially, the raking of leaves left us longing for summer. But, once we loaded up the car and hit the road for a Florida vacation, all was well.

While in Florida (Destin), we had a lot of quality family time together. Bo even made a new friend that he wanted to bring home. It was a stray cat that he nicknamed "Beachy". Since the cat seemed to live at the beach, we thought the name suited him (or her) well.

Once we returned, it was time for Thanksgiving. At the Marker feast, Bo and Ellie competed bravely in the traditional weigh in. Based on a percentage of weight gained, both kids finished in the top three. It goes without saying that it was a proud moment for Mom and Dad.

Then, it was time to put up the tree and get ready for Christmas. Ellie was really in the spirit and her holiday highlight was clearly a girls' night out with Mom and her Grandmas to see the Nutcracker. Ellie really enjoys her ballet class and she was awestruck to see the pros in action.

Once Christmas arrived, Bo opened several super hero inspired gifts and Ellie unwrapped lots of Barbie dolls and Dora accessories. The kids even had the opportunity to take some gifts to their new friends, Alexis and Emily, who were part of a family we sponsored for Christmas.

Thanks to everyone for making Christmas so special this year. All the best for 2008.
