Summer Fun

The kids are coming off another fun weekend. We went to a wedding reception on Saturday night and danced the night away. Bo showed his best form strutting to the disco favorite, Staying Alive. Ellie enjoyed it all and even got a few others in on the act. During one of the songs, she found a man who looked a little like her Papaw, extended her arms and asked for a dance. He obliged and Ellie was all smiles. What a flirt she is.

On Sunday, we went to Great Grandpa Routh's church in Dover and met up with Mike's cousin Roger, his wife Becky, and their boys Will and Cooper. After church we had a big lunch and then took a few pictures.

Then, we went out to the Indiana State Fair on Sunday afternoon to meet up with Grandma and Grandpa, Great Uncle Bud, Uncle John and Aunt Allie. The fried cheese and lemon shake ups were a hit. But, Bo and Ellie seemed most fond of the corn on the cob. And, the funnel cakes with powdered sugar ranked a close second. Aside from eating, the kids enjoyed seeing the baby cows that had been born during the week. And, they were also impressed with the fireworks show that started as we left the grounds.

See you next week.
